The History

TEn Insurance Services Ltd was incorporated during 2004 and launched in February 2005.

Founded and developed originally by three insurance professionals and one technologist, who combined between them over 125 years of market experience...

... even back then... and it is lots more now!

The milestones for TEn were as follows:-

  • to establish itself with 10+ ARs in 2005
  • to increase to 25+ by 2007
  • to add 10+ pa thereafter
  • to evolve other models
  • and not to stop there

TEn grows its core business organically but fairly rapidly; and with an underlying philosophy that for small businesses to prosper and survive, it takes a bigger business to lend a helping hand occasionally.

Whilst the analogy may be a red-rag to a bull in certain quarters, the comparison of TEn to a French Farmers Co-operative, would not be entirely out of place.

As the tone of this website may well indicate, the attitudes of TEn are largely non corporate, straight forward and have quite a lot to do with old fashioned virtues of professionalism, character and integrity.

According to TEn director, James Sharp:-

We launched the TEn model because we realised that there was a huge gap in market for a network to focus on start-up brokers.  Since then every other network has developed either, a different form of start-up option, or copied us completely.  It is all very flattering.

If we were to admit to a Mission Statement, it would have to be that we seek to enable the next generation of entrepreneurs to build-up broking businesses, as people did 25 years ago. The model has been tweaked a little to reflect the fact that the world has changed.

Indeed, our Mission Statement is...

"To replace that which was lost."

Our point has always been; the world may have changed, but what motivates people to succeed has not... given half a chance. And so it has proved.

Today we have grown our membership to 70.
