If you are looking for a position as an Account Executive, we should advise you that TEn operates for and on behalf of Appointed Representatives, which are separate corporate entities unto themselves. Consequently, the Account Exec function of a normal broker does not exist within TEn.
Nevertheless, if you are one of those, please scan through this site and have a think about our proposition. If, however, you are an Account Handler looking to make a move, then it is possible that we could have a vacancy somewhere.
Equally, our Accounts Department is frequently on the look-out for people. If not now, then it is never very long before we are looking in one area of the business or another. Our criteria for selection always include; experience, personality and, in the broking teams, CII qualifications.
We like people who stand out from the crowd!
TEn offers great career opportunities and we hope that most people who join us will remain for the long-term. And most of them do.
Apart from competitive salaries, employment with TEn brings with it a pension, 26 days holiday, private medical insurance - including dental cover - plus a 4 x salary death in service benefit.
But, most important, the staff collectively own the vast majority of the business and there is no director or shareholder powerful enough to sell the you down the river, without the agreement of a majority of the employees.
In 2013, TEn took its first steps towards employee ownership by establishing TENT, an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT).
By November 2014 the company became majority (almost 70%) owned by TENT and, thus, the first network - and one of only a handful of insurance brokers - to be absolutely guaranteed an independent future.
Based purely upon commitment, talent and merit, every employee will have the opportunity to build a successful career and an equal chance to rise to managerial and/or board level.
The board of TENT always comprises 5-6 members of staff as Trustees. The Chairman of TENT attends the Holding Company board meetings, as the representative of the staff as a whole.
Every year we make an effort to send a handful of staff to the Employee Ownership Association Conference in November; and to fill a couple of places at the EOA Summer Dinner in the House of Commons.
