TEn Insurance is pleased to announce that it has moved from a virtual office in Glasgow and into three-person accommodation within the Centrum Centre in Queen Street.
The first member of in Glasgow staff—the Office Manager—has already been employed and the second is scheduled to start on the 4th September. A third person will follow soon thereafter.
The Scottish broking team is planned to grow further early in 2018, with an extra two people anticipated within the first quarter and an expansion into larger offices.
The TEn network includes 12 brokers in Scotland that represent more than 10% of the network’s total GWP and about 13% of the policy count. The company is in discussions with its principal markets with a presence in Scotland, which certainly includes all the majors—such as Allianz, Aviva, Axa, Covea, NIG, RSA etc.—to repatriate most of the business sourced in Scotland.
Comments TEn director James Sharp; “It has always been part of our business plan, since 2005, to expand our broking teams regionally. Manchester was the first step in 2008/9 and, frankly, Glasgow really should have happened before now.
Building a strong broking team in Glasgow will mainly benefit our Scottish members, because proximity is important. It will simultaneously relieve pressure on our resources in Princes Risborough, providing head-room for reorganisation and expansion in England as well.
Whilst Glasgow is unlikely to be the last regional ‘opening’ within the next couple of years, it will ultimately prove more distinct and very different in scope from others that are to follow.”
