This month, five brave members of the Manchester office completed a skydive in aid of the mental health charity, Mind. They were successful in raising over £4,00 for the charity.
We decided to do a skydive to raise funds for Mind, as many people close to us have suffered with their mental health over the years. We want to promote the fact it’s okay to talk about mental health - people should not suffer on their own. Mind give those suffering an opportunity to speak to someone.
On the day of the jump, the training had been done and we were all in our jumpsuits by 10 am. Having watched the first few groups take off in a plane which carried no more than 15 people, we were all very excited but also slightly apprehensive.
When it came to meeting our tandem jumpers, they all put us at ease. You could tell just how much they loved doing it - they have done over 10,000 jumps between them, so we were in safe hands!
When we were 15,000ft (3 miles) high, the view was absolutely unreal and throwing ourselves out of the plane was such a surreal feeling.
We are all describing it as one of the best experiences of our lives and to do it and hit our target for such a worthy cause made it all the better.
